Манчестер (Англия). 19 июля - BUSINESS WIRE - Synexus - крупнейшая в мире транснациональная компания, специализирующаяся на наборе пациентов и проведении клинических испытаний - в январе этого года после поглощения ClinPharm открыла свой первый офис в Киеве во всемирно известном Центре радиационной медицины. Главный исполнительный директор Synexus Майкл Форт (Michael Fort) говорит, что уже сейчас перспективы роста в 2010 году и далее выглядят очень обнадеживающе. "Заинтересованность спонсоров в использовании всех наших отделений в Центральной и Восточной Европе в этом году была и остается невероятно высокой. В пятницу, 3 июля, пресс-служба ГУМВД Украины в Луганской области сообщила, что правоохранители разоблачили преступную деятельность должностных лиц одного из диспансеров региона, которые испытывали на больных препараты и брали взятки. Суммы взяток, по данным, полученным в ходе следствия, исчислялись в десятках тысяч гривен, а самая крупная из них достигла 100 тыс. грн. О взяточничестве в данном медицинском учреждении милиционеры узнали в конце 2008 года. В ходе проведения проверок удалось выяснить, что за последние 2 года лечение в этом диспансере прошли около 500 человек, большинство из которых платили врачам деньги не только за операции, но и за все процедуры (учитывая тот факт, что учреждение является коммунальным, такие услуги должны были предоставляться бесплатно).

Ukraine Emerging as Attractive Clinical Trial Destination in Europe
Driven by factors such as large patient pool, good healthcare infrastructure and fast recruitment rate, Ukraine is likely to become one of the most attractive clinical trial destinations in Europe.
According to 'Ukraine Pharma- New Opportunities for Growth', a new research study by RNCOS, conducting clinical trials in the US and western European countries has become an expensive and time consuming affair, and Ukraine can present drug manufacturers with a suitable alternative. With a population of more than 46 Million in 2007, the country represents the second largest patient
pool (after Russia) in Eastern Europe, that makes it easier and faster to recruit patients.
Another major feature which helps in the quick recruitment of patients in Ukraine is its healthcare system. Both Primary and specialist care is structured around big hospitals and encompasses a large population. According to “Ukraine Pharma - New Opportunities for Growth”, a new research report by RNCOS, Ukraine promises to be one of the most lucrative pharmaceutical markets in the world. In 2007, the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market grew by nearly 21% to register revenues in excess of US$ 2 Billion. The market is characterized by an increasing proportion of imported and high-priced drugs. In 2007, the average unit price of drugs sold in Ukraine increased by nearly 20%, strongly pushing the value of pharmaceutical sales, despite a relatively ordinary growth in sales volume. The future outlook of the industry also seems very positive as the market is expected to be driven by a number of reforms recently proposed by the government. Factors such as increasing penetration of health insurance and increasing disposable incomes of consumers will also fuel growth. The lack of effective price controls and high margins are also expected to lure foreign players in this market. The country’s unstable political environment, however, will be the biggest hurdle for investments. But overall, the market is expected to grow strongly, exceeding US$ 4.5 Billion in revenues by 2012.
